Hamriyah Free Zone Company Setup in UAE

About Hamriyah Free Zone

The Emirate of Sharjah controls the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA), which is the second-largest free zone in the United Arab Emirates after JAFZA. Since its founding in 1987, it has grown quickly, increasing both in size and the number of businesses it owns. Hamriyah is home to representative offices for numerous big domestic and foreign companies.

There are various logistical benefits to this free zone. Hamriyah Port is incredibly accessible because Sharjah is the only emirate that has access to both the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. Sharjah International Airport provides flight connectivity to 230 locations, and the emirate is situated in the middle of the road network that connects it to all six other emirates and the neighboring GCC states.

A more customer-friendly area that is appropriate for both large and small businesses is Hamriyah. The Hamriyah Free Zone Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah may be your best bet if you’re looking for an affordable office or warehouse in a prime location with excellent connections.

Is Hamriyah Free Zone suitable for your business?

— Yes If

  • If you want to start your business in one of the UAE’s well-known and established free zones, particularly in Sharjah, where HFZA is one of the nation’s biggest and oldest free zones.
  • Because HFZA has excellent logistical connectivity with other emirates and the neighboring GCC states, it is a great choice if your company involves e-commerce, industry, or logistics.
  • HFZA allows a Marine Service license and has its own port with access to the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, which is ideal if your company needs to operate both at sea and in ports.
  • If you prefer a Free Zone Company Formation in Dubai with well-established infrastructure, HFZA offers many facilities and amenities, including an in-house customs office and Emirates Identity Authority.
  • If all the conditions are fulfilled, Hamriyah Free Zone Company Registration in UAE takes just one day, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a free zone with a quick and easy setup process.

— No If

  • If you want to start a business in Dubai or need a remote Hamriyah Free Zone business setup.
  • If the non-industrial operations of your company, like media or IT, don’t need storage or logistical facilities. We suggest submitting an application to Sharjah Media City or IFZA for such events.

Hamriyah Free Zone company formation process

Providing the necessary paperwork and all other standards, registering a company in the Hamriyah Free Zone can be completed in one working day. Because a business plan must be submitted for approval, warehouse registration will take a little longer.

It is also necessary to obtain third-party approval for some activities, such as the Ministry of Health’s approval for the selling of medical items. Additionally, it will require more time.

Company registration procedure in Hamriyah Free Zone

Step 1: Choose your business activities and license type.

Choose the appropriate license type based on the business operations of your future company. This component is essential to a successful business setup because selecting the incorrect license and activity might result in mistakes during company registration, which may limit your ability to create a bank account or even prevent you from doing so.

Step 2: Determine the legal entity of your business.

Choose the legal entity for your company in the Hamriyah Free Zone. FZE (Free Zone Establishment), FZC (Free Zone Company), or branches of an already-existing domestic or international business are among the company formation options offered by HFZA.

Step 3: Prepare and file the required documentation.

Prepare the required paperwork and send it along with the application. Very minimal paperwork is needed by HFZA to form a company:

  • Passport copy
  • Passport-size photo
  • Business plan (only for certain activities)
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current sponsor (if holding a valid UAE visa) attested by the Chamber of Commerce

Paying all registration and processing costs is another requirement for this step.

Step 4: Collect the license and registration documents.

Get the company’s license and registration documents, which include:

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Business License
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association
  • Investment Service Agreement
  • Share certificate
  • Lease agreement

Following company registration, you will receive electronic documentation. You will only receive hard copies of the renting agreement and the MOA.

Step 5: Secure your Establishment Card.

Get the Establishment Card with your company’s details and visa quotes.

Step 6: Apply for an entry permit.

Submit an application for an entrance permit. If you are not in the UAE when the entry permit is being processed, you will have to return within 60 days of the document’s issue to finish the biometrics and medical examination required for your visa.

The status of your prior UAE tourist or resident visa will be changed to the new one if you are in the country when the entry permit is granted.

Step 7: Take a medical test and submit visa documents.

Complete a medical examination and apply for a residency visa. The number of visas available for the company’s owners and employees may vary depending on the registration package.

Step 8: Collect your Emirates ID.

Once your visa is issued, secure your Emirates ID card.

Step 9: Open a bank account.

To open a corporate bank account, submit an application to a UAE bank. You shouldn’t have any trouble creating an account because HFZA is one of the most reputable free zones in the United Arab Emirates and has banks located there. You can begin operating your business as soon as you get your account details.

Hamriyah Free Zone facilities

Hamriyah Free Zone is one of the rare zones with its own 7-meter-deep inner harbor, 14-meter-deep seaport, 26 million square meters of land, warehouses, and office buildings.

Because of the low rent and electricity costs, many industrial businesses choose to be in the free zone.

The HFZA facility options are listed below:
